My final project is complete and the year is coming to an end, it has been a lot of fun and a great learning expierence! I am proud of my work and very happy with how my group collaborated and made it all come together!

Changes From Film Review

Image
My group is not as on track as intended but we are managing. As I near the end of the final task some last minute touches and loose ends need to be tied up.  The filming process has been completed which took quite a long time, however what I did not expect was for the editing process to be even more tedious. Going through take after take picking the perfect one is a lot more challenging than I had imagined but I have grown for it. As Allison finishes up editing I have the task of ensuring that the final task is cohesive and engaging for the audience. If these two criteria are not met then I will have to go back and make some changes. There is also a possibility that we will need to re-film certain scenes if they are not up to my standards, which unfortunately will be another long process, but much worth it in the end. I have been helping my partner Allison with her editing duties and we have almost completed our final version. The last final version seemed to be perfect however when w

Editing

Filming is all done and editing is an equally important process. Different editing techniques can be used to create different tones and moods in scenes. Yesterday our group re-filmed a couple scenes that were not quite up to par. Jade's dad suggested that we re-film them and we took that and went with it. It was fairly easy to film these scenes again but editing them back in would prove to be much harder. Having already completed the editing process and having put music behind each scene it was nearly impossible to delete scenes and make the music match up again. But we did not have time to start over and edit all of the scenes together from the grinning entirely. So Allison came to the rescue! Somehow she managed to find a new editing software that allowed her to put the new scenes on top of the old scenes while still keeping the music. Kudos to Allison for having the idea to find a new app rather than just believing that it was not possible and going through the trouble of start

Review!

Today we looked over all of our scenes and took the time to review them. This was after editing everything with music and color. We wanted to make sure everything was perfect and there was nothing that needed to be re-filmed. Unfortunately though to a trained eye there were some mistakes. Jade showed her Dad our movie, he has a degree in media and communications so he seemed like a good fit. He said that some of our scenes were choppy and sluggish. Meaning that they weren't very good. He suggested that we re-film two of the scenes with a more steady hand and have the actors speaking more clearly. Our group was of course a little upset to hear him bash our work, but we understood of course that it was corrective criticism and he only wants to help us. I gathered the group together by sending out a message to meet at Darrow's house. Everyone brought their costumes I again set out the props. This time I was certain we would get it right. I held the camera very still and made sure
