My final project is complete and the year is coming to an end, it has been a lot of fun and a great learning expierence! I am proud of my work and very happy with how my group collaborated and made it all come together!
Today we looked over all of our scenes and took the time to review them. This was after editing everything with music and color. We wanted to make sure everything was perfect and there was nothing that needed to be re-filmed. Unfortunately though to a trained eye there were some mistakes. Jade showed her Dad our movie, he has a degree in media and communications so he seemed like a good fit. He said that some of our scenes were choppy and sluggish. Meaning that they weren't very good. He suggested that we re-film two of the scenes with a more steady hand and have the actors speaking more clearly. Our group was of course a little upset to hear him bash our work, but we understood of course that it was corrective criticism and he only wants to help us. I gathered the group together by sending out a message to meet at Darrow's house. Everyone brought their costumes I again set out the props. This time I was certain we would get it right. I held the camera very still and made sure...
Today Allison and I edited together the music video! This was the final step to our music video process and marked an end to all of the work we had done. We used the app Imovie to put all of the scenes together, we did this in class and used Allison’s phone. We had previously recorded all of the clips on Allison’s phone so this was the most convenient option. I began adding the scenes to the app to have an outline of our video. Allison helped me crop the clips so that they would line up with the music perfectly. It was challenging making all the clips match up with the music perfectly and I did have some frustrations along the way. For some scenes I had trouble matching the lip syncing, but after a few tries I was able to make it look flawless! Creating a split screen for the phone call scene seemed impossible, but with some research and the help of my group mates I was able to create a split screen! Allison gave me many suggestions while editing and I greatly appreciated her help...
