Scene 1: Darrow pulls up in front of Allison's house in the convertible and Allison gets in the car. This scene will be filmed from a wide shot in order to show the actors and their surroundings.  Scene 2: Allison puts her feet up on the dash board. This scene will be filmed from a mid shot in order to emphasize the lyrics "kick your pretty feet up on my dash". Scene 3: Darrow starts to drive slow down the street. This will again be a wide shot and will then have a fade out transition where the car will drive away into the distance.  Scene 4: Establishing shot filmed from the back showing the sorroundings, driving on an open road.  Scene 5: Darrow puts his arm around Allison as they are in the car still. This will be a middle close up shop to spotlight the embrace. Scene 6: There will be a split screen of Allison and Darrow talking on the phone in their rooms. This will highlight the vocal differences between the male and female voices.  Scene 7: The split screen of Al

Props: Since my group has decided to do a a country love song, our props will include a car, cowboy hat, phone, and flowers. Costumes: In the music video 2 group members will be the main characters while the other 2 are filming. Our actors will be wearing country style clothing such as, jeans, flannels, cowboy hats, and boots. These clothes are typically seen as the country asethetic and will add to the country love story that is being depicted. The jeans will be navy blue and the flannels will be red and checkered. They will appear casually dressed and not too clean, we are going for an authentic cowboy and cowgirl look.  Schedule: On 11/17/21 my group and I will further our research on conventions of country music videos On 11/19/21 the group will have a clear idea of what we want our music video to look like. We will begin making a list of the costumes and props and we will find where to buy or borrow these items. We will also create a location list and a backup plan. We will also

AICE Media Studies Research

My group has decided to do a music video to the song "Meant To Be" by Bebe Rexha, featuring Florida Georgia Line. This is a country love song, I researched a few similar country songs with love stories in order to get a better understanding of what is expected from a country music video. Costumes such as flannels, jeans, cowboy hats, and boots were apparent on the men and women in these music videos. The lightning tends to be brighter, establishing a sunny setting. The music videos also had a tendency to be set on an open road or field.  Shots vary from establishing shots to wide shots, and angles such as middle close up and close ups are used throughout the videos.  Editing such as split screens appeared often in my research and were used to display the male and female singers, harmonizing and singing back and forth. Fade in and fade outs were featured in these music videos, as they were used to shift scenes smoothly.  Diegetic sound can also be heard in these videos, addin

For the first project in this class, I have chosen a few good friends of mine to be my partners. My partners name's are Allison, Ella and Darrow. I chose this group for a few reasons. First off, they are reliable friends. Whether it is a ride to school or helping when I'm in trouble they have always been there for me. I find that the quality of dependency is important when it comes to group projects. If you don't have people in your group that you can depend on how are you supposed to assign roles. I also find it important to know some background on the people you plan on working with, that way you know their strengths and weaknesses. Luckily I have known the members in my group for quite a while. We all went to elementary and middle school together. And now we are all in the same high school class! I believe that my group will be able to cooperate and work together and if not, we are all mature enough to come to a mutual agreement that is beneficial to all. All of my part

AICE Media Studies Introduction

Hi, my name is Sophia Pollock, and this is a little bit about me. I am the daughter of Jake and Melissa Pollock and I have 3 sisters. I am the third oldest which makes me a middle child. My dad grew up in a Jewish household, and my mom converted to Judaism when they got married. I myself, have been raised Jewish and have been bat mitzvahed. I have 6 dogs whom I love equally. I have always grown up around big dogs and can’t imagine my life without animals. I am 16 years old, and a junior at Fort Lauderdale High School. I have always been an honor roll student and plan to continue this streak until my very last day of school. My goals for after high school are to attend a good college, and to earn a degree in something I love. I have many academic interests, like reading and writing and hope to pursue a future that includes both. During my free time I like to go to the beach, go on the boat, listen to music, and watch movies, or hangout with my friends, family, and dogs. My favorite ice
