Filming Blog: Allison's House

The beginning of filming was a long process, it was a lot more chaotic than anticipated. Our plan was to film after school on Monday, and to go record at Allison's house. The bell rang for school to be dismissed and me, Allison and Ella found each other immediately. We had a little trouble however, finding Darrow. Allison sent him a text, and we all tried to call him. We would have filmed without him, but we needed him because he is one of the main characters. After about 20 minutes Darrow picked up the phone and informed us that he was at home and had just woken up. He said he was sorry for missing our calls, and making us feel stressed. A little while later Allison and I drove to Darrow's house to pick him up. At that moment we then went into his house and helped him pick out an appropriate "cowboy" outfit to match the persona he is playing. After picking his outfit we headed back to Allison's house to begin filming. Upon arrival, our whole team became distracted by the adorable puppies that Allison is fostering. After a little while of playing with the puppies Allison got everyone back on track and went to change into her outfit. She wore a blue jean skirt red top and black cowboy had, she also made Darrow change into a white shirt because she thought it complemented his red hat. Once the outfits were decided we went outside and found an open road to film on. At this time it was around 5 or 6, and due to daylight savings this is when the sun begins to set. We had to consider our options because if we filmed at dusk the rest of the scenes

would then need to match that setting. We ended up deciding to call it day. Unfortunately we did not complete much of our music video, although we did learn from this experience. I learned that it is important to manage your time and plan well before hand.
