  Props: Since my group is creating a Jan-sport backpack commercial, our main prob will be the Jan-sport backpack. We will also use another brand backpack to compare the difference and prove that Jan-sport is better. In addition, other objects students generally bring to school such as a water bottle, notebooks, computer, pencil case, books, and a lunch box.  These props help create the image of Jan-sport's establishment and help advertise Jan-sport's products at the same time in our commercials.

Costumes: Our commercial is taking place at school and the actors will be normal high school students so they will wear everyday school attire such as jeans, shorts, leggings, t-shirt, tank top, or a jacket with comfortable shoes like vans or converse.

Schedule:

9/22/21 and 9/24/21- Our group researches conventions and codes of Jansport commercials and we will establish props, costumes, schedule, location list and backup plan.                                                        

9/24/21 and 9/28/21- Our group will create a storyboard for the commercial.

9/30/21 and 10/4/21- Our group will film all the shots for our 30 second film.

10/6/21 and 10/8/21- Our group will fully edit our commercial and make sure everything is perfect

Location List: Our main location will be the senior patio, the first actor will start off at the top of the stairs by the auditorium, run grab their Jansport backpack and run down the stairs while the other friends with Jansport backpack gather and walk together. The second location will be an actor with a broken non Jansport backpack sitting on a bench trying to get his things together. The last location will be all the happy friends walking away from the senior patio towards the classrooms with their Jansport backpacks.

Backup plan: If it ends up raining and we are not able to film outside, we will film in the hallway and inside the classroom. If one of our members is absent, we will ask another classmate to help us out.

Editing Blog: Editing The Music Video

 Today Allison and I edited together the music video! This was the final step to our music video process and marked an end to all of the work we had done. We used the app Imovie to put all of the scenes together, we did this in class and used Allison’s phone. We had previously recorded all of the clips on Allison’s phone so this was the most convenient option. I began adding the scenes to the app to have an outline of our video. Allison helped me crop the clips so that they would line up with the music perfectly. It was challenging making all the clips match up with the music perfectly and I did have some frustrations along the way. For some scenes I had trouble matching the lip syncing, but after a few tries I was able to make it look flawless! Creating a split screen for the phone call scene seemed impossible, but with some research and the help of my group mates I was able to create a split screen! Introducing My Group Mates!

 My group is very similar to the group I had for my previous music video, although there are some changes. We decided to add a new member to the group from a different class period, her name is Jade. My group now consists of me my good friend Allison, Darrow, and Jade. Allison and I have been friends since middle school and have worked together on many projects and assignments. On our last project Allison was very helpful and took on a lot of the responsibility she picked upon Darrow a few times and allowed us to film at her house. Without her we who knows what we would've done. Allison also helped me a lot when it came to filming, she gave me many ideas without forcing them upon me. We are able to work well together because we have a good relationship. Darrow is another friend that I have known since middle school. Lets Get Filming!

 Today we got lots of filming done! Yesterday was not as accomplished as we spent a lot of time trying to figure out the right place to film. But today we were able to all meet at one place at the same time ready to film. All of the actors quickly got dressed and I went to set up props again. Darrow's parents were not home this day so I had to set up the props by my lonesome without his Moms help. Luckily everything still looked perfect! Once everyone was dressed we had to continue with the scenes. I had the storyboard out and placed the actors where they needed to be. With the help of my friend Eva I would position the actors and she would look through the camera telling me left, right, forward, back, to get the perfect shot.
